HLG Attorneys Provide Municipal Employment Law Training

In partnership with the North Carolina League of Municipalities, Katie Weaver Hartzog and Dan Hartzog Jr. recently completed statewide municipal employment law training for town managers, human resources directors, and other municipal officials. The trainings focused on helping municipalities avoid claims and liability in three distinct areas: 1) claims arising under the ADA, FMLA, and GINA; 2) consequences of failure to provide name-clearing hearings;  and 3) keys to avoiding First Amendment retaliation claims.
