Cohen Obtains Dismissal of Title VII, Section 1981, and Defamation Action in Eastern District of North Carolina

Michael Cohen recently obtained the dismissal of a Title VII, Section 1981, and defamation action brought by a restaurant employee in the Eastern District of North Carolina.  The Court therein rejected the plaintiff’s discrimination, hostile work environment, retaliation, failure to hire, and slander claims, finding that there were insufficient facts to support such claims.

Dismissal of Breach of Contract, Fraud and Misrepresentation Claims Affirmed by the North Carolina Court of Appeals

Katie Weaver Hartzog prevailed on a motion to dismiss plaintiff’s claims of fraud and misrepresentation against his former employer.
